Why do I need a list of easter egg fillers?

Every year shortly after Valentine’s Day, the grocery stores start stocking their shelves with easter items. It doesn’t take long for my kids to ask for an easter egg hunt at home. If your kids are like my kids, this list will provide you with plenty of easter egg fillers that aren’t going to give them a sugar rush (so you can still say YES! to those much-deserved easter egg hunts).

Below, is a list of fun easter egg fillers that are NOT candy. Don’t get me wrong, candy is a great item to use as easter egg fillers! But if you choose to do easter egg hunts as a fun activity on more than one occasion, you might want to choose one of the other easter egg fillers I have listed below. Keep in mind, they are not categorized by age, so some of them are meant for kids ages 3+.

How can I use this activity as an opportunity to learn?

Sometimes, we just want to play. Other times, our play gives us an opportunity to learn and grow. In this case, we have an opportunity to teach children about the Cultural Celebration of Easter, what Easter is, why its important, and when we celebrate it.

What do you think? Do you have other things you love to put in Easter eggs for your little ones to search for? Let me know in the comments below!
